BNZ 2024 Auckland Lantern Festival

Manukau had the privilege of hosting the BNZ 2024 Lantern Festival in celebration of Chinese New Year.  We recently met with the organisers of the event, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited to talk about both the successes and  learnings from the event.

Here's an overview:                                                                             

• There were 135,726 gate movements
• Attendees spent an average of 2.83 hours at the event
• 93% were from Auckland; 6% were from the rest of NZ; 1% from Overseas
• Almost 40% of attendees came from the Howick, Otara-Papatoetoe, and Manurewa Local Board areas.
• 75% were satisfied or very satisfied with the event.
• The total spend at the festival was 2.45m.
